Introvert Problems

When you're an introvert learning to cope with people can be a bit of a tough situation.

If like me you love spending time alone doing your favourite things, like catching up on your favourite TV series, reading a good book, or just having a silent moment to reflect and meditate. Being introverted and enjoying your own company doesn't make you antisocial.

Most times when you're more comfortable being by yourself, socialising or dealing with people can be scary.  How do you deal with people? How do you react when your friends are giving you the guilt trip because you’d rather read a book than go to a party? How do you show the people around you that you care about them?

I have found that rather than going to a loud, crowded place like a mall, go to a park, a place that makes you more comfortable. Try to bring people into the things you love, so you can spend more time together.

Being an introvert doesn’t mean you can’t keep real friendships. Most introverts aren't shy, we just have a hard time being around other people.

You can try a few of the following the next time you have to meet other people.

1. Talk to everyone

This might be hard but start small, talk to one person, when you're more comfortable add another person and before you know it, you'll be talking to people everyday.

2. Pay compliments

These don't have to be about major things, sometimes the small things matter the most.  Complementing people is a great way to start a conversation.

3. Join a club

Find something you are passionate about and join a club to meet people who share your passion.

Hopefully some of these will help my fellow introverts out there, maybe they'll help someone who isn't an introvert
