Are you a cookie?

Have you ever felt like you don’t fit in? That’s not bad because you were born to stand out. These days we are all so worried about fitting in that we forget what makes us who we are, the thing that makes us special. I hope this will help you remember.

When society goes right, choose to go left.

Don’t worry about what other people think about you, dont waste your time feeling insecure about measuring up. There is no standard. Everyone has their own shortcomings. Just always remember to be the best you, you can be and no one else can do it better.

Find your tribe

It's always great to find other individuals who brace their individuality. It’s great not being the only ouysider because not only do you have someone who knows the struggle, you have friends that excel at a variety of things. You get to learn about different interesting things, and more about the world.

Embrace your work individually.

Some people are artists, some are scholars, some are gifted in sports, etc. Do what makes you happy as long as its not hurting anyone. Celebrate your differences, develop your talents and find happiness.

Wouldn't the world be boring if we were all the same?

Introvert Problems

When you're an introvert learning to cope with people can be a bit of a tough situation.

If like me you love spending time alone doing your favourite things, like catching up on your favourite TV series, reading a good book, or just having a silent moment to reflect and meditate. Being introverted and enjoying your own company doesn't make you antisocial.

Most times when you're more comfortable being by yourself, socialising or dealing with people can be scary.  How do you deal with people? How do you react when your friends are giving you the guilt trip because you’d rather read a book than go to a party? How do you show the people around you that you care about them?

I have found that rather than going to a loud, crowded place like a mall, go to a park, a place that makes you more comfortable. Try to bring people into the things you love, so you can spend more time together.

Being an introvert doesn’t mean you can’t keep real friendships. Most introverts aren't shy, we just have a hard time being around other people.

You can try a few of the following the next time you have to meet other people.

1. Talk to everyone

This might be hard but start small, talk to one person, when you're more comfortable add another person and before you know it, you'll be talking to people everyday.

2. Pay compliments

These don't have to be about major things, sometimes the small things matter the most.  Complementing people is a great way to start a conversation.

3. Join a club

Find something you are passionate about and join a club to meet people who share your passion.

Hopefully some of these will help my fellow introverts out there, maybe they'll help someone who isn't an introvert

Vintage Classic

During the December holidays in 2016, my mother had a rummage through my gran's cupboard and unearthed this beauty.

Its a Vintage cream blouse style overcoat (Shelley Impressions) that I have paired with a stripped mini black and beige dress (Truworths), with two options for shoes: 1. Beige, wooden platform heels, with snakeskin details on the straps.

2. Green and grey snakeskin detail heels (Rage).

1. Beaded wrap around bracelet.
2. Leopard print brooch.
3. Green and beige handbag.

Morning Yoga

Most people don't understand the impact of yoga, but if you go into it with an open heart and an open mind it will bring great benefits into your life.

I hope you enjoy this simple yoga sequence to help start the day right.

Now please join me on this journey and feel free to let me know if does the same for you.

Fashion through my eyes.

Fashion is an art form, and most times fashion is greater than what we mere humans can think of or imagine, it is greater than all other things created by man. It is not about utility, it is an extension of a person’s personality and expresses individuality. Fashion gives us some of the greatest artists of the century and what they create is greater than art, because people live their daily lives in it. It is a shiny beacon of hope for those whose talent transcends the minds of the ordinary, it is a source of inspiration to billions, it gives people something work towards and gives them reason to better themselves, and yet people don’t even care even though their lives would most likely be insignificant and dull without it.
